‘Choose to Challenge YOUR Comfort Zone’ in a free webinar for HR

In line with next week’s International Women’s Day theme of #ChoosetoChallenge, we want to reflect on what this means for each of us as individuals.  This last year has clearly forced us out of our comfort zones in ways we could never have imagined. However, when it comes to our career development, many of us have found that we feel firmly stuck and that the prospect of change and being proactive feels daunting.

‘The comfort zone is a beautiful place, but nothing ever grows there.’ Over the last year, personal confidence levels to look for new opportunities and change have been really challenged as many of us have found ourselves in the day-to-day ‘survive and react mode.’  Our mind-set can have a huge impact on what we choose to do or not do, and not taking action has become the default reaction for many of us during lockdown.

Are we too scared to try and do something new for fear of failing?

We decided to put on a webinar to enable a time for reflection on how the last year has affected our ability to challenge our own comfort zone.  We will look at positive ways to build confidence, self-belief and a healthier mind-set.  Our guest speaker, Rachel Ward, Head of L&D for Norfolk and Suffolk Police, will share stories from her varied and colourful career with the police and her own life – sometimes moving, sometimes just downright funny…
