Background

Tim worked for 30 years in the financial markets in London, both in sales and trading roles. During that time, he worked both in large investment banks and smaller, more entrepreneurial stockbroking firms. In that time, he experienced the different corporate structures and developed a real understanding of individual dynamics at play in a pressurised environment.

Tim realised in the latter years of his career that there was a friction between developing the skillset needed to succeed in his role in the City and where he felt he wanted his talents to develop, so he retired from the City just over five years ago and retrained as a coach.

Experience and qualifications
Tim completed his training with Barefoot Coaching on their PGCERT in Business and personal coaching (rated number 1 out of 275 Accredited Coach Training Providers by the ICF) and is a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF).

Approach to coaching

Tim employs a collaborative, holistic approach to his coaching and works effectively at both a cognitive and somatic level. He naturally rests at the non-directive end of the coaching spectrum but can also challenge and be provocative if need be.

He creates a safe ‘listening’ environment free of judgement and evaluation where he believes the deepest and fastest learning can take place.

“The skilful use of clean questions helps clients find the best answers to their own questions and shines a light on the ‘blind spots’ that are stopping them from fulfilling their true potential.” Coachee
