Thriving Together – Promoting Work-Family Balance a Guide for HR Professionals
Work-family balance is a critical issue that affects millions of employees across the UK
The ability to maintain a healthy balance between work responsibilities and family life is increasingly seen as essential for overall wellbeing and job satisfaction. At Parent and Professional, promoting work-family balance is part of our ethos.
Promoting Work-Family Balance
Research underscores the growing importance of work-family balance. A report by Hays found that more than half (56%) of employees are willing to accept a lower-paid job in exchange for better work-life balance.
Additionally, a third (33%) of workers consider work-life balance to be the most crucial factor when searching for a new job. These statistics highlight the significant value employees place on having the ability to manage their work and family commitments effectively.
To explore this topic further, we invited four expert panellists to share their insights on what work-family balance truly means. These panellists, with their diverse backgrounds and extensive experience, provided valuable perspectives on how businesses can better support their employees in achieving this balance.
We have now compiled their insights into a practical toolkit as an extension of the resources we have already developed for organisations to use. This toolkit is designed to help organisations cultivate a balanced workplace culture. We hope you find it helpful!
A huge thank you to our roundtable panellists for their valuable contributions:
